The red dots represent Garmin Quickdraw Contours maps that have been shared for that area. Use the map and search features to locate an area to download. Select Marine in the upper-right to open the Garmin Quickdraw widget. From the ActiveCaptain® app on your mobile device, select Quickdraw Community > Search for Contours. If you do not have a Garmin Connect account, create one. Wenn Sie eine Contours Karte mit anderen teilen, wird nur die Contours Karte geteilt. The Garmin Quickdraw Community is available now on the Garmin website. Select Getting Started > Quickdraw Community > Getting Started. Sie können Garmin Quickdraw Contours Karten, die Sie erstellt haben, mit anderen in der Garmin Quickdraw Community teilen. For the most comprehensive coverage, Quickdraw Contours clearly shows where usable depth information has been collected and where gaps exist, so users can easily see what still needs to be collected. The results are instant and can be viewed in real-time, or created in the background for use at a later time. The free ActiveCaptain app creates a powerful connection between your compatible smart device and Garmin chartplotter, charts, maps and the boating community. It can be used with any transducer, including Garmin Panoptix, HD-ID, DownVü and NMEA 2000 transducers. Quickdraw Contours comes as standard in the 2016 echoMAP CHIRP range, and is available as a free software update for other echoMAP and many GPSMAP series products. While joining the online community is not compulsory, it provides the opportunity for users to easily and quickly share and upload the best data available. The Quickdraw Community builds on the success of Garmin’s Quickdraw Contours software feature – a free, easy-to-use tool that lets boaters instantly create personalised HD maps with 30cm contours on any body of water. You'd do the same with the saved Lowrance sounding logs afterwards - the same ways but online.Īs I said - a pain for both - but can be done.GARMIN has launched its Quickdraw Community, a free online user-generated platform where users can share and browse HD mapping content, and download the data free of charge to enhance and supplement existing Garmin mapping options. in the field - using Garmin - you will need to print-off a tide chart and manually change the offset ev 5-20minutes. In other words - use a tide graph as your lake offset. The reson: the tide only changes so much during the shorter time frames and you want to match the offset to the current time. With both units - I would recommend saving using shorter time frames (5-10minutes around mid tides, and 15-20 around the highs/lows) - before changing the offsets and/or restarting the logging of the sounding transects. On the Garmin you set it on the unit as you go - with the Lowrance you apply it afterwards on short time segments when saved as sonar logs & uploaded afterwards. With Garmin & Lowrance you can set offests (originally designed to deal with fluctuating lake levels). When they get the bugs worked out of panoptix for the saltwater angler, it will be Garmin for the win,Ĭlick to expand. Both Garmin & Lowrance's mapping are pains in the you-know when it comes to tides, IMHO MAtt. It was a factor in my Garmin choice too, and I'm glad I have it. Uploading your personal maps of secret ling holes to the public community in the cloud just seems funny to me, so needless to say my stuff isn't up there. Also best to do your mapping when swell is low and wind waves are not hostile. Garmin introduces Quickdraw Community, an online community of free user-generated map data Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. You'd want to map a contiguous structure all in one episode, as tidal height differences would introduce some weird artifacts if you mapped places at different tidal heights. There is a learning curve to data entry on it. FWIW I think it is a tool mainly for bottom fishing habitat (lings esp) in my hands. While it probably isn't directly responsible for putting any more meat in my freezer, I do think it's helpful if you're a map detail guy, or just interested in over-thinking it on occasion. It's actually pretty kickass, and can really add some granular detail to complex bottom structure. I've used it to map out some interesting reefs that I fish, where the detail is lacking on conventionally available charts (garmin's base map, navionics, noaa, etc). Dann können Sie Karten mit einer Speicherkarte hoch- und herunterladen. I've been playing around with QuickDraw for a couple years on my 7612xsv.
